With a dedicated team of professionals, we consistently strive to exceed industry standards.About the roleWe are looking for a skilled and proactive Project Surveyor to join our Repairs & Maintenance team. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining our property portfolio. Your expertise will ensure the integrity, safety, and compliance of our housing assets through effective surveying practices and project management.In this role, you will conduct property surveys and inspections, produce detailed reports, diagnose repairs, and oversee project management duties. You will work closely with maintenance teams to optimise the condition and performance of our housing stock, ensuring that our properties remain safe, compliant, and desirable places to live.More about the role
- Manage and maintain the property portfolio through regular surveys and inspections.
- Conduct property assessments to identify maintenance needs, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the condition of housing assets.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to plan and execute repair and improvement projects.
- Provide professional and technical advice, including expert witness services when required.
- Handle specification writing and tendering processes, ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
- Monitor project expenditure and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Identify and manage risks related to cost, programme, and health & safety., while effectively managing your own time to balance multiple prioritise.
- Investigate and resolve complaints, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
More about youQualifications & Experience:
- GCSEs in Maths & English (A*-C) or equivalent.
- HNC/Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in housing regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in construction or property maintenance.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of damp and mould causes and remediation, including experience with legal disrepair cases and compliance.
- Familiarity with Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations 2015.
- Knowledge of Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) and relevant legislation.
- Experience with NHF Schedule of Rates (M3NHF) for cost control.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft applications and the ability to write technical specifications and reports, and an ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to engage with customers and stakeholders.

- A full clean UK driving licence and access to a car is essential.
