This includes integrating sustainability measures, guiding clients on best practices, and aligning projects with recognized frameworks. You will collaborate with teams and stakeholders to ensure projects meet environmental, social, and governance (ESG) objectives.You will manage projects from strategy to execution, ensuring regulatory compliance while fostering innovation and advancing sustainability goals. By leveraging your expertise, you will help shape resilient infrastructure solutions that meet the evolving needs of clients and communities.This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by driving initiatives that improve the quality of life for communities across Canada and will be ideal for someone passionate about creating a sustainable future and driving impactful projects.Role accountabilities:The Sustainability Project Manager will lead the integration of sustainability measures into infrastructure projects using recognized frameworks such as ENVISION, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams throughout all project phases for Arcadis.Key accountabilities will include:
- Developing data management platforms to monitor KPIs, action plans, and goal setting aligned with client sustainability needs.
- Liaising with federal, provincial, and other regulatory authorities to ensure environmental and sustainability compliance.
- Monitoring ESG disclosure trends, including CSRD and ISSB reporting, and recommending best practices for alignment.
- Aligning ESG initiatives across cross-functional teams, including procurement, design, and risk management, while identifying improvement opportunities.
- Promoting Arcadis’ sustainability services through business development and fostering client relationships.
- Delivering training sessions on sustainability practices and tools, utilizing resources from Arcadis teams in Canada and the US.
- Performing financial assessments, including lifecycle costing, evaluating returns on environmental investments, and driving value-based sustainability solutions.
Qualifications & Experience:The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, or related fields, particularly in consulting.They will also have:
- Strong knowledge of sustainability frameworks, including ENVISION, LEED, and Life Cycle Costing methodologies.
- Familiarity with Cority and experience integrating sustainability into infrastructure projects during design and construction phases.
- Proven experience working with government authorities and regulatory bodies on sustainability requirements, with a strong understanding of ESG regulatory trends, including CSRD and ISSB disclosures, with the ability to provide actionable insights.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and align initiatives across stakeholders; strong communication skills, with experience delivering training and presentations to diverse audiences.
- A commitment to advancing sustainability and crafting innovative solutions to environmental challenges.

The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position.
