The shift pattern consists of two days working 7am to 7pm followed by two days working 7pm to 7am and then 4 days off.Please note that this role is currently based at Shepcote Lane, Sheffield where there is limited public transport for the start and finish times of both shifts as described above.Key responsibilities:

• Creating, updating and amending information held on the LEDS (National Law Enforcement Data Service) and where necessary the PNC (Police National Computer).
• Researching and addressing discrepancies to maintain the integrity of all systems.
• Liaising with criminal justice units and other criminal justice agencies to assist in the provision of complete records.
• Dealing with enquiries by telephone, in person or by other means.
• Maintaining accurate records of relevant information.
• Managing customer expectations regarding the service that can be provided by giving advice and taking appropriate action.
• Maintaining high levels of customer service, managing customer expectations and meeting national and organisational service level agreements.

Skills and experience:

• Communication skills – adapt language to meet the needs of different people/audiences.
• Able to utilise IT packages, systems and/or databases.
• Able to appropriately prioritise and plan own work.
• Experience of information gathering and problem solving.
