OverviewAs the Talent Acquisition Consultant, you will partner with the senior talent acquisition consultants to understand entry level and clerical talent requirements. The position leads and manages entry level and clerical attraction activities.The Talent Acquisition Consultant is responsible for full cycle recruitment efforts including attracting, assessing, and hiring candidates to fill high volume vacancies and partners with hiring leaders to recruit and hire both internal and external candidates.Responsibilities
- Provide external talent attraction support to the senior talent acquisition consultants for entry level, clerical, and student positions.
- Manage external talent communities to support ongoing requirements.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients with high volume recruitment needs.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and contributes to enhancing knowledge and ability regarding staffing practices corporately.
- Provide superior service to internal clients and applies discretionary thinking to meet client needs.
- Provide timely communication to hiring leaders and updates hiring leaders on the progress of recruitment.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency to meet operational requirements.
- Ensure all related articles within the collective agreement are considered and consistently applied through the recruitment and selection process.
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience and responds to candidate inquiries in a timely, empathetic, and transparent manner.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in business, commerce, human resource management or another related field.
- Completion of the Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) designation is an asset.
- Three years related experience in talent acquisition and recruitment and selection.
- Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
- Ability to build positive working relationships and provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to source and select future talent, including leveraging multiple talent attraction channels.
- Proficiency with related applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ATS, HRIS), and web recruitment tools, including social media.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple urgent tasks and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven problem-solving skills and analytical ability.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
