We operate in 9+ geographies across the UK, EU and the US.We believe that the future of financial services will be delivered by customer-oriented tech companies that embed financing in their customer journeys, and we are building the solutions that will power that future.The RoleTo meet the growing demand for our technology and services, we are seeking a Tax Manager who will take on the responsibility of ensuring the organisation’s tax compliance through managing tax reporting and optimising tax efficiency. We need the person taking on the role to have a strong technical knowledge of Tax law and accounting.Requirements

  • Tax Compliance: Ensure the company complies with UK tax laws, including the preparation and submission of corporate tax returns, VAT returns, and other statutory tax filings (PAYE, NIC, etc.).
  • Tax Reporting: Prepare accurate tax provisions for financial statements in line with UK and international accounting standards, ensuring that tax liabilities are correctly reported.
  • Advisory: Advise internal stakeholders, including the finance department and senior management, on the tax implications of various business decisions, transactions, and projects.
  • Tax Planning: Assist in tax planning initiatives to minimize the company’s tax liabilities within legal frameworks. This includes domestic and, depending on the company, international tax considerations.
  • Liaising with HMRC: Manage interactions with HMRC on tax audits, inquiries, or other tax-related matters, ensuring timely and effective resolution of any issues.
  • Support on Audits: Work with external auditors to ensure that the tax components of audits are accurate and compliant with both local and international tax standards.
  • Process Improvement: Help improve and streamline tax processes and systems within the organization to ensure better efficiency and risk management.
  • Team Support: Providing guidance and support.

Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge of tax law and accounting principles.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying tax risks and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex tax matters to non-specialists.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, particularly during tax reporting periods.

Qualifications:

  • Professional tax or accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CTA).
  • 5-8 years of experience in a tax role, often with a combination of in-house and public accounting experience.
  • A solid understanding of UK corporate tax, VAT, and tax reporting requirements. Experience with international tax is a plus.
