Your responsibilities
- You spend an important part of your time working as a member* of a team
- You have an up-to-date vision regarding your area of expertise and you stay informed on industry trends
- You share your knowledge
- You establish and nurture sustainable working relationships across the business to make sure business solutions contributes in everything we do
- You stay informed on the last developments and trends related to working in agile mode, change management and coaching
- You promote the usage of frameworks like Scrum & Kanban and finetune its implementation based on the needs from your environment
Team development
- You are responsible for reaching the desired level of maturity of your team in terms of skills and knowledge
- You collaborate with members of the Business Solution Leadership team on initiatives which allow for the further growth of your department
- You take a lead role in the building of best practices in relation to the full lifecycle of business solutions on the Silverfin platform
- You advise, steer and report on improvements
Team management
- You support activities in relation to the hiring and retention of team members
- You are involved in resource planning for the teams within Business Solutions
- You are involved in resource planning for the different product areas in relation to Business Solutions
- You monitor the overall performance of your team (members) and make sure they contribute to the overall goals from Silverfin
- You contribute to industry-leading eNPS by fostering a positive team environment and addressing any issues that impact team satisfaction and engagement
- Promote cross-functional collaboration and communication between teams across the organisation
People development of your team members
- You put in place a culture of self-development by encouraging team members to develop themselves and by facilitating this
- You provide coaching and mentoring in terms of professional development (technical and content-related) but also in terms of personal development
- You identify top performance and take early action for underperformance
- You evaluate your team members
Skills and knowledge
- Knowledge of IT software development
- Knowledge of Accounting space
- Minimum 3 years of management experience, preferably with development teams
- People management & development skills (Coaching skills, Listening skills, Giving and asking for feedback, Empathy, etc..)
- Team leadership & management skills (Situational Leadership skills, Motivational skills, Change management skills, Proactiveness, Conflict Management, Decision taking, problem solving, etc..)
- Stakeholder management skills (Networking skills, Communication skills, etc…)
- Agile & Lean methodologies
- Experience in working closely with product teams to align technical solutions with business objectives is an advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams, levels and cultures
- Ability to work 3 days per week from London office
- Ability and desire to travel frequently to our HQ in Gent
