You are comfortable working in a structured environment, with the agility to adapt when necessary. You can work independently, and as part of a team and confident to suggest improvements to work more efficiently.Role Purpose:To complete product certification assessments against the BBA highways scheme requirements, site investigation reports on defective installations, carry out general highways inspections on site, ensure compliance with pre-identified scheme requirements and deliver the required levels of productivity whilst maintaining the quality of inspections carried out. You will need a relevant qualification at HNC (NVQ level 4).Essential Responsibilities:Inspection/Reporting Duties– Complete product certification assessments against the BBA highways scheme requirements, ISO assessments and where required any other BBA product scheme assessments deemed necessary– Timely reporting on all assessments carried out, recording and reporting non-compliances– Complete product certification assessments of Highway Installers with respect to pre-approval certificates inspections including site testing– Provide clear and concise reports on all of the above– Liaise between clients and Project Managers to ensure effective execution of the above– Complete site investigation reports on defective installations, report findings accurately– Attend site meetings and liaise with other bodies, local authorities, manufacturers to agree, recommend remedial works– Undertake site surveillance inspections of current approved installers– Keep up to date with all relevant legislation, regulations and technical documentation that apply to the work accordingly– Liaise with clients and communicate relevant inspection reports to BBA administration– Provide an efficient and courteous link between installers, local authorities, designers– Provide information and advice on the range of services provided by the BBA– Apply good working knowledge of highways practices– Deliver the required levels of productivity whilst maintaining the quality of inspections carried out and a professional and courteous service– Manage diary and travel arrangements to ensure the most effective provision of services with respect to the abovePlanning/Liaison Duties– Provide guidance to installing companies to help them meet the requirements of the scheme under which they are operating– Attend site meetings and liaise with other bodies, local authorities, manufacturers etc. to agree, recommend remedial works– Liaise closely with clients, installers and BBA staff to ensure effective execution and communication of work to be carried out– Provide guidance to installers, builders and householders on relevant Building Regulations and requirements with which they have to comply– Manage diary and travel arrangements ensuring best use of own time and to maximise revenue earning activitiesOther Duties– Keep up to date with all relevant legislation, regulations and technical documentation that apply to the work accordingly– Maintain professional competence by attending training courses and updating skills as and when required– Covers the duties/responsibilities of team members when required regionally, nationally and internationallyWhat we offer:We believe that our strength lies in our people; that’s why we invest heavily in them through providing training to maintain and develop the skills of all our teams, enabling us to serve our clients better.
