Its renowned neonatal unit, among the largest in the UK, supports around 900 babies annually with state-of-the-art facilities, personalised care, and family-focused spaces.We are delighted to be able to offer a fantastic opportunity for an organised, proactive, and technically skilled individual to join our Maternity and Neonatal Service as a Technical Assistant Support Worker.We are looking for a motivated individual to support the Maternity and Neonatal Service with the general maintenance, cleanliness, and functionality of medical equipment. This includes assisting teams to ensure all equipment is fully functional and any technical issues are managed appropriately.This vital role involves performing routine checks, ensuring equipment is ready for immediate use, supporting patient transfers, taking responsibility for maintaining equipment and medical consumable stock levels and preparing clinical trolleys. Maintain equipment registers and work closely with the Clinical Engineering Department to ensure equipment issues are reported. Ensure medical equipment and consumable stock levels are maintained and assist with distribution of stores. Transporting medical equipment and devices from storerooms to clinical areas. Work alongside the clinical engineering team to ensure medical equipment is maintained and serviced appropriately.What we are looking for: NVQ Level 3 in Health or Social Care or equivalent experience Experience in an acute hospital setting is desirable.
