Ignite Technical is growing and we are on the hunt for another Recruiter to join our team. This role will put you in the driver’s seat of a rewarding career in technology.Main duties of the role:
- Networking: leverage Ignite Technical’s suite of tools and technologies to proactively identify top technical talent across Canada
- Recruitment: effectively match your growing network of IT Professionals with the hiring needs of Ignite Technical’s portfolio of clients – from large multinationals to local start-ups
- Relationship Building: develop your own ‘tribe’ of Canadian IT Professionals and build your reputation as a go-to source for industry expertise and employment
Note that experience with technology is not a requirement for this role. We have a 12-week training program before you ‘go live’ that will equip you with the knowledge and skills you will need to be an effective Junior Recruiter.Required Experience – Successful candidates should have 1 of the 2 criteria listed below:
- 2+ years of Outbound Sales Experience: A demonstrated ability to empathize with your audience as well as a good understanding of the prospecting and negotiation process will be key in being successful in the role. NOTE that this is not a Client-facing role. These skills are important in talking to Candidates. however.
AND/OR
- 2+ years of Recruitment Experience: coming into the role with a demonstrated understanding of the recruitment process and hiring cycle will give you a head start in this role. We have a strong preference for previous agency experience (IT or otherwise), but internal experience can work as well if you believe you are comfortable working on Commission (and salary).

Other qualifications that would be an asset but are not a requirement to being successful include a demonstrated understanding of technology and a post-secondary degree or diploma.Compensation and Benefits:
- We pay a base salary that increases via promotions, in addition to a generous commission structure (with no top-end), and an annual bonus system . We provide a generous amount of paid-time-off, which also increases via promotion and performance. Your gym membership is paid for and our annual team-trip to somewhere sunny (and all-inclusive) is always a great time!
- We are primarily work-from-home but most of the team comes into the office (a.k.a. the Clubhouse) more frequently to hang out with their teammates in-person. That team dynamic is important to us, so we’re looking for local (Greater Vancouver-based) Candidates only who can meet up with the rest of the team in-person from time to time.
