Job Overview:
The Technology Specialist is responsible for applying existing knowledge and experience in the Technology discipline to support routine assignments. They will use best practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve products or services in the Technology discipline.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Installing, configuring, documenting and maintaining PCs and other end users equipments
• Forecasting and maintaining IT equipment adequacy
• Establishing and controlling security levels and systems access
• Planning, implementing and coordinating systems maintenance and backup
• Analyse the teams’ workload and activity to drive efficiency and focus towards TTR’s, SLA’s and KPI’s
• Providing training and support for end users community
• IT Operations support for Senior business leadership team. Acting as interface between local management and other IT functions
• Ensuring that all departmental policies and procedures are followed
• Lead and manage the team, including hiring, mentoring, and professional development
• Work with senior management during the budgeting, cost control and reporting process
• Planning and coordinating operational activities within an organization such as meetings, events, or conferences
• Creates long-term and short term strategic plans for the KL office to address issues and develop a program of continuing improvement for the organization
• Maintain communication with functional managers to ensure issues are resolved
• Generate reports for management in regards to service availability, uptime, and adherence to standard operating procedures and SLAs etc
• Continual service improvement through best practise and new and innovative technologies
• Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers
Essential Qualifications and Education:
• Ideal candidate will have updated understanding of IT operations requirements on resolving hardware/ software / mobile and related IT infrastructure issues
• Must have knowledge of IT Infrastructure, Windows Admins, Data Center management
• Must be able to resolve issues within the same day
• Ability to guide the IT team and own resolution of KL issues
• Handson experience in IT operations in a similar industry with minimum 5 years
• Technically competent and must have the ability to pick on new technologies immediately / Fast learner
• Demonstrated ability to perform change management in similar field
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all management levels
