Job Description

As the Training Coordinator at Thermo Fisher Scientific you will hold a crucial role in crafting the future of our production workforce. This is an outstanding opportunity to implement top-notch training programs that ensure our employees are equipped to meet and exceed industry standards.

How will you make an impact?

  • Manage and coordinate training activities for all production employees, perform new hire onboarding for full-time and temporary employees, and serve as a subject matter expert.

What will you do?

  • Ensure new employees are trained according to area SOPs, good documentation practices, and cGMPs to manufacture products in classified environments.

  • Evaluate and determine job-training needs for new employees.

  • Deliver floor-based training to new hires, transfers, and those needing re-training.

  • Maintain familiarity with all jobs and SOPs in Operations to provide flawless training.

  • Monitor and update employee training records based on requirements and progress.

  • Collaborate with production supervisors to develop/improve SOPs.

  • Continuously improve and update the training program for operations employees.

  • Verify and document production activities in batch records, logbooks, and controlled forms.

  • Conduct On-the-Job (OJT) training for manufacturing, inspection, assembly, packing, and transport of finished goods.

  • Participate in safety and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

  • Achieve desired performance outcomes by effectively managing the training program.

  • Conduct and coordinate training programs and safety/environmental training classes.

  • Act as a key training contact and subject matter expert for audits.

  • Solicit input on training and initiate appropriate actions.

  • Ensure training documentation aligns with the Quality Management System and regulatory bodies.

  • Lead departmental and interdepartmental teams to meet training needs.

Education:

  • Good level of educational achievement.

Experience:

  • Must have previous experience in production-related GMP or technical-related training environment

Equivalency:

  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
