Job Summary

The Transportation Administrator is responsible for coordinating documents, gathering, and inputting data related to administrative support duties for the Transportation department within Cummins. The role involves conducting research, preparing reports, and addressing routine information requests. Activities will be performed under moderate supervision, ensuring accurate and timely data management and communication.

This role is working rotational shifts in line with operations:

Monday – Friday 07:00am – 15:00pm or 14:00pm – 22:00pm rotating weekly.

This is an initial Temporary 12-month contract.

Salary: up to £28,000 depending on experience

Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire, UK

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock/inventory and training records; retrieve stored information to respond to enquiries (for example on inventory levels or delivery schedules.)

  • Perform other routine administrative activities according to the organization’s established procedures. These activities may include responding to customer escalations, order allocation, part profile & inventory records, preparing reports, training operators, customs compliance processes, domestic and international transportation related procedures and completing forms (receipt, transfer, delivery, dispatch, etc.)

  • Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures & regulations.

  • Follows all applicable standard work, work instruction/process documentation and established quality procedures.

  • Raises issues to minimize cost and quality exposures.

  • Communicates effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams

  • Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet business goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role you will need experience with the following:

  • Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.

  • Some previous office administration experience is desired.

  • Experience in maintaining office systems, databases, and spreadsheets.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail.
