This is a fantastic chance to join Nationwide’s Capital & Credit risk reporting function, at a time when the team is expanding its remit.The team is responsible for submitting regulatory reporting primarily in relation to Capital risk and Treasury credit risk. The primary goal of the team is to produce complete, accurate and timely reporting, helping the Board and relevant commitees ensure Nationwide remain financially strong, now and in the future.The keys to success in this role are:

  • Knowledge of prudential reporting frameworks (e.g. Basel III)
  • Experience of Capital regulatory reporting (e.g. COREP / Pillar 3);
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to deliver reporting solutions;
  • An ability to thrive in a fast-paced evolving environment;
  • A high level of self-motivation and drive; and
  • The ability to deliver end to end solutions, analyse complex data and spot errors/trends

The role will report to a Senior Consultant in that sub-team.You’ll be working in a fast-paced reporting team with a high volume of output that will mean you’ll have to think on your feet and problem solve while ensuring all deliverables are met. As we are at the heart of the business, you’ll have exposure to senior management, the ability to shape and influence the team and wider agenda.You will also have the opportunity to work on regulatory reporting change programmes, helping to deliver important changes to our prudential reporting.About youAs a minimum requirement you’ll need to have:

  • Knowledge or understanding of prudential reporting frameworks (e.g. Basel III)
  • Experience of Capital regulatory reporting (e.g. COREP / Pillar 3)
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, including xlookup, sumifs, index/match and graphical skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities and a proven track record of delivering to a high standard, on time.
  • Extensive experience of reporting and forecasting, ideally in a banking or treasury environment.
  • A history of undertaking regulatory or internal reporting or forecasting in a finance or treasury environment, ideally within the capital reporting
  • The ability to deliver end to end solutions, analyse complex data and spot errors/trends.
  • An ability to interpret regulatory guidance, assessing this against existing reporting or forecasting and translating this into easy to digest information for stakeholders.
  • Able to deal with conflicting demands and prioritise deliverables.
  • Have an overriding drive and commitment to ensure the team objectives are achieved.
