Your primary responsibility is to collaborate with Relationship Managers to structure and recommend optimum credit solutions for ATB’s Diversified clientele. You are considered a knowledgeable lender with a good understanding of ATB’s credit risk appetite and have some experience structuring more complex credits. You will report to the Diversified Director, Central Underwriting.AccountabilitiesYou are accountable to maintain exceptional portfolio health via the following activities:

• Be a partner in the first line of defense for risk management
• Collaborate with the Relationship Manager to assess risk and underwrite quality applications by performing a thorough financial analysis and recommending appropriate credit structures
• Ensure overall loan quality and supporting documentation is within the acceptable ATB measures
• Focus on producing high volume, quality of loans
• Comfortable working independently and regarded by peers as a strong lender
• An equal participant with Sales to help grow the portfolio
• Confident in analyzing cash flow and testing assumptions in projection
• Experience with standard and non-standard margining protocol, Early Warnings Signal’s and Covenants
• An in-depth understanding of security
• Be an occasional mentor, who shares ideas and knowledge with the Underwriting and Sales teams

Skills, experience & requirements

• Business or accounting degree or diploma or related business experience
• Business and Agriculture Accreditation level I & II or equivalent
• 1 to 2 years experience underwriting business with a strong preference for individuals with previous Diversified underwriting or lending experience
• Strong analytical and financial analysis skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
