DESCRIPTIONThe US Wireless team is looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Vendor Manager to own Amazon’s relationship with our key head vendors across multiple categories. The right candidate stays on top of industry and competitive trends, and is able to execute at both a tactical and strategic level to drive selection, sales, and margin growth. In addition, the Vendor Manager must be an effective leader and communicator in working with Amazon.com partners and vendors, as well as with internal groups such as instock, site merchandising, marketing, PR, finance, operations, and retail systems.The ideal candidate has strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management. Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, and ability to ‘think big’ skills are musts. Successful individuals in this role will:
· Own the business end-to-end and cultivate a deep understanding of all major inputs that drive long term performance (selection, price, availability, forecasting, operational excellence, marketing, mix)
· Maximize Amazon’s flywheel by focusing on selection expansion and cost saving opportunities
· Negotiate effectively with the industry’s largest vendors – manage supplier contracts, Annual Vendor Negotiation (AVN) strategy, marketing, and day-to-day relationships
· Work with Product Manager to develop innovative ways of launching new features that improve the customer experience
· Develop a thorough understanding for the industry, macro trends, and future trajectory
· Communicate effectively across all levels of leadership, both internally and externally
· Submit high quality work within tight deadlinesBASIC QUALIFICATIONS– 3+ years of with Excel experience
– 3+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience
– Bachelor’s degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience
– Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownershipPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements

The base pay for this position ranges from $66,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
