Veterinary Reception, Client CareLocation: Nanaimo, BCIsland Animal Hospital is hiring an experienced full time Client Care Coordinator to join our team.This is an exceptional opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to join us in a very important support role for the entire hospital. In this role, you will help our clients and their pets feel welcomed and appreciated! With every opportunity, we aim to exceed each pet owner’s expectations.Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a welcoming environmentAbility to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectivelyScheduling appointments; Admitting and discharging pet patientsInvoicing/billing; explaining fees, and processing payments.Take initiative and work independentlyRecommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.A Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Assistant Office Administration (VAOA) program certificate is an assetGeneral housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas, and common areasWillingness to learn more regarding; veterinary services, updated medical office procedures, and assist the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatmentsA love for all companion animals!!Compensation: $17.40 to $25.00 per hour. The hourly rate range is for the primary location for which the job is posted.
