Job Title: Weekend Patient Care Assistant
Location: Paragon Referrals, Wakefield
Job Type: Permanent Part-time
Hours:10-20 hrs. available per week (hours and shift patterns can be discussed at interview)

Paragon is a purpose-built diplomate-led multidisciplinary referral hospital. It is situated just outside the city of Wakefield. The centre opened its doors in 2018, so the facilities are still new and benefit from a clean and modern design.
Our extensive, modern facilities allow our teams to deliver the highest quality of care and ensure patients get the best possible treatment. The team also comprises of globally recognised diplomates in medicine, oncology, anaesthesia, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, cardiology, neurology and ECC.
The hospital benefits from being close to the beautiful rural Yorkshire countryside yet also has excellent main road links via the M1 and M62. We are within easy access of Leeds and Manchester, as well as Leeds and Bradford airports.

Paragon Referrals and Linnaeus Ambassador

Understand, contribute to, implement practice and group policies as appropriate

Promote a good image of Paragon Referrals through high personal appearance and in communication with members of the public and work colleagues

To promote our services, personnel and products, both within and outside the practice
-
To treat all practice personnel with the same respect and consideration as clients

To support marketing and other initiatives e.g. Open Days, Micro-rewards
-
Be an ambassador for Linnaeus and engage enthusiastically with all initiatives
DESIRABLE
-
Experience in a veterinary practice
-
Knowledge of a range of canine and feline surgical and medical conditions
-
Further qualifications in animal care assistance / animal environment management.
Key duties will include:

Assisting with Consults
-
Dispensing of medications
-
Client care
-
Aiding the RVNs and surgeons with any procedures/operations
-
Assisting to maintain flow of procedures, setting up & cleaning down theatres
-
Cleaning and sterilising instruments
-
Working as part of a team
-
