  • Pro rata part-time starting salary for this role begins at £20,663.79 per annum (full-time equivalent: £25,184.00).
  • Part-time contract working 32 hours a week, and 4 days over 7.
  • Flexibility on availability to be discussed during interviews.
  • This role might require availability to occasionally work late evenings, weekends, and night shifts. Shifts may change according to business or project needs.

  • Demonstrable visual competence, practical skills and attention to detail. Fashion and Textile experience is welcomed.
  • Passionate about home furnishing, design and how people live.
  • Higher education/background in Visual Merchandising, Creative Design or Art and Design, or relevant experience.
  • Practical, hands-on skills and a comfortable attitude to working with a variety of hand tools and at heights.
  • Solid knowledge in design planning software, such as AutoCAD, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

  • Contributing to position the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
  • Providing inspiring home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products that will support a convenient shopping experience and improve and inspire our many customers.
  • Use visual merchandising competence to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation solutions in the store by working with store layout, range presentation and vitality.
  • Stay updated on trends in home furnishing and retailing to generate creative directions that inspire and surprise visitors with a strong visual impression.
