The Vice President, Product Marketing is responsible for leading the product marketing strategy and execution for several high profile, high growth lines of business at AAA, driving revenue growth and market expansion.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Team development:
Lead a high performing Product Marketing Leadership Team in pursuit of membership and revenue growth goals.
Nurture high levels of Team Member engagement throughout the department, and build bench strength and talent pool for succession planning.
Leadership:
Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify market trends, opportunities, competitive landscapes, and market segmentation.
Product Positioning: Develop compelling product positioning and messaging that differentiates the brand and resonates with target audiences.
Product Launches: Oversee the innovation, planning, execution, and evaluation of product launches, ensuring successful market introduction.
Pricing Strategy: Establish pricing strategies that optimize profitability while maintaining market competitiveness.
Promotion and Marketing Campaigns: Develop and execute effective promotional and marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness, demand generation, and sales.
Sales Enablement: Equip the sales team with the necessary tools, materials, and training to effectively sell the product. Work with the Sales Team to qualify leads and ensure leads are nurtured effectively.
Retention: Develop and implement a robust Member engagement and retention strategy to continuously improve Member satisfaction and effectively manage Member churn.
Marketing Plan: Develop marketing plans including budgets and forecasted KPIs.
Brand Champion: Drive brand equity and a deep love of the brand by Team Members and Members.
P&L Management: Participate in revenue and marketing expense forecasting, and track and analyze cost per acquisition and return on investment for marketing tactics.
Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams both inside the Marketing Division (e.g., Digital Marketing, Member Experience, Creative Services) and outside the Marketing Division (e.g., Product, Sales, Operations) to ensure effective product marketing.
Line of business leadership:
Participate on the Senior Leadership Team of each line of business, and provide strategic input, thought leadership, and direct influence on each line of business.
Enterprise marketing leadership:
Participate on the Marketing Division Senior Leadership Team, and provide strategic input, thought leadership, and direct influence on the company’s direction.

EDUCATION, COMPETENCIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
15+ years product marketing, product management, and/or general management experience for well-known consumer brands, with 10+ years at a leadership level.
Demonstrated experience hiring, developing, managing, and mentoring large and diverse high-performing teams.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful product marketing strategies
Marketing plan development experience.
Financial modeling experience and superior business acumen.
Budget management experience.
Promotion management experience.
Go-to-market product launch experience.
Innovation management experience.
P&L management experience.
Deep understanding of market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
Preferred Requirements:
MBA or Master’s degree
WORKING ENVIRONMENT / MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This is primarily an office job. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, bending and lifting (up to 15 pounds). Approximately 98% of time is spent using a video display terminal.
