To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join our team to provide a key role in supporting the management of our waiting lists, theatre activity and related matters within the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department. The postholder will be based in Ninewells hospital and will be expected to cross cover for others within the team.You should have proven experience working in a team with an understanding of waiting lists ideally in a healthcare setting. You should possess excellent communication, organisational and problem solving skills. The use of software such as Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Word is an important part of the day to day work. You will need to be a flexible individual with the ability to work on your own and as part of a team. Knowledge of NHS Tayside Access Policy and Waiting Times Guidance and experience of Trakcare booking and managing waiting lists would be advantageous.The role requires the postholder to communicate in a professional manner with patients, their families and many different groups of hospital staff. This post can, at times, be pressurised therefore the ideal candidate would enjoy working in a challenging fast paced environment.Informal enquiries should be made to Louise Roberts (01382) 740467, ext. 40467 or emailHours 37 per weekNHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
