An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Acute Services Medical Directorate, providing comprehensive administrative and clerical support to our Senior Charge Nurses and teams.You should be educated to Standard Grade level; possess RSA/SCOTVEC qualification or equivalent, or have relevant previous experience. You should also possess excellent keyboard skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Knowledge and experience of a hospital environment would be advantageous, as would knowledge of NHS systems and processes, however training will be given.Previous administrative experience and knowledge of confidentiality and safe handling of information/GDPR is required. You should have the ability to work as a member of a team and on your own initiative with minimal supervision.A level of English language competency and communication skills necessary to perform this role safely and effectively is also required.For informal enquiries please contact Kerry Thomson, Admin & Secretarial Services Manager on 01592 643355 extension 21681NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. Your offer/contract of employment will therefore reflect the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
