DescriptionWe are currently hiring for a Warehouse Supervisor in the Cambridge areaRole: Warehouse Supervisor
Salary: $60,000-$65,000/year
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. 100% on site! Fridays the team gets to leave at 4 & from May to September the team gets to leave at 3:00pm for summer hours.Environment: Candidate will primarily be working out of the warehouse with the team. Only required to go into the office to do tasks such as reporting & attendance mgm.Benefits:

Responsibilities:Warehouse Management:

• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with the data storage system.
• Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Responsible for the allocation and proper use of equipment such as RF guns, pump trucks, and forklifts.

Employee Management:

• Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Promote and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Cross-train employees in all warehouse functions and standards.
• Oversee warehouse staff on a day-to-day basis, assign daily priorities, ensure productivity, and perform quality checks.
• Tracking employee vacations and overtime.

Record Keeping:

• Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
• Create, maintain and update documents and internal database records.
• Maintain an understanding of customer shipping requirements and work with other floor department leads to ensure products are delivered to customers on time to avoid charge backs or other penalties, and to ensure we maintain our standing as a preferred supplier.

Other Duties:

• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Ensure a well-coordinated reception of all materials, items, and products, and making sure they are sorted, labelled, and stored per company standards and policies
• Ensure effective and safe use of warehouse equipment
• Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments

Requirements:

• Minimum of at least 5 years of warehouse experience as a Warehouse Supervisor/Team Lead
• Warehouse inventory management experience and knowledge is required
• Forklift license & experience required (counter balance, cherry picker)
• Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
• Fasteners industry experience preferred but will also consider candidates from tools/hardware/automotive industries
• Ability to work on strategic and tactical levels with excellent problem-solving skills.
• People management skills, including the ability to explain ideas, delegate work, motivate, and lead and inspire members of the team.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
