The Waste Treatment Centre (WTC) is a Class 1B Nuclear Facility built to safely treat radiologically impacted liquid wastes generated by Canadian Nuclear Laboratories. This will include the treatment of legacy radioactive liquid wastes as part of the Chalk River Labs Environmental Remediation mission.The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the safe and compliant conduct of facility maintenance, implementation of aging management plans, oversight of the control of work in the facility, and establishing a scheduling process that integrates facility maintenance, operations, and project activities. This will be achieved through leading a diverse team in a dynamic and challenging operations environment.The position will report to the Director of Liquid Waste Services, and ensure that the execution of maintenance in the Waste Treatment Centre will be completed to ensure the facility is available to meet the requirements necessary to ensure success in the Liquid Waste Services branch within waste services.What will you be doing!Facility Maintenance

What we are looking for:EducationThe position requires a relevant university degree or a technical college diploma.Experience7 to 10 years’ experience in a leadership role within an operations environment, with experience delivering facility maintenance.An equivalent combination of skills, training and experience may be consideredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities
Job/Industry Specific Knowledge:
Security Clearance Eligibility RequiredReliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom.
