- To deliver on digital campus of tomorrow, we are moving forward with a Digital Student Experience (DSX) initiative to deliver on three of Student Experience actions: Enterprise Web Strategy, Enrolment and Admissions Rethinking, and Digital Identity.
- The Enterprise Web Strategy is delivering a Digital Experience Platform (DXP). The DXP will provide a unified and consistent platform to support one hundred web sites. The DXP platform is a Drupal 10 multisite configured on Acquia’s Site Factory platform. It also includes adoption of Acquia’s Site Studio and Content Hub. Work is underway to manage a reinvention of the web experience and migration of sites to the DXP, using a path-based addressing strategy. The first site to be migrated was for international department
ROLE OVERVIEW
- To support continued platform development and site migration, the DXP team is seeking a Personalization Lead. This position will play a vital role in supporting the DXP solution by supporting tailoring and personalization of delivered web content to support desired user journeys and experiences. The personalization lead will play an active role in guiding the direction of personalization of web properties, including the identification of personalization opportunities, design and development of campaigns and experiments, analysis of experiment results and on-going optimization of delivered experiences.
- The personalization lead is responsible for guiding and directing all efforts at adapting, tailoring and personalizing web content for audiences. They consult with departments and groups within to identify objectives and desired outcomes. The personalization lead supports the analysis and evaluation of existing web experiences and jneys, and identifies opportunities to refine and tailor the delivered web experience to different audiences and segments within the community. They are responsible for defining, designing, testing and evaluating tailoring and personalization experiences in order to continue to refine the relevance of web content.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE:
- Lead all web tailoring and personalization efforts and ensuring that delivered web content is relevant and appropriate for target audiences
- Oversee the effectiveness of all tailoring and personalization web interactions in delivering optimal experiences, supporting meaningful calls to action and optimizing conversion rates
- Support the definition and elaboration of user jneys and desired experiences within digital interactions
- Consult with groups across in defining desired experience and jney outcomes and identifying opportunities for tailoring and adaptation of web content
- Identify and formally define experiments to evaluate and test how the delivered web experience can be further refined and optimized
- Guide the analysis and review of experimentation results and using the results to further optimize personalization campaigns
- Support and guide client groups in understanding and interpreting experiment results and providing data-driven insights into effective tailoring and personalization approaches
- Support and consult with client groups in identifying further tailoring and personalization opportunities
Education:
A degree in a Business or Technology disciplineExperience:
- A minimum of five years of experience in business analysis, IT, or digital transformation
- A minimum of three years of progressive experience in designing, developing, evaluating and optimizing personalization experiences in web platforms
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Skills sought in a successful candidate include:
- Expert understanding of tailoring and personalization of web content to deliver effective experiences and user jneys and optimize conversion rates of site visitors
- Extensive experience in evaluating web interactions and identifying and refining audience segments to support tailoring and personalization efforts
- Strong experience in designing and specifying optimal web experiences and interactions
- Experience in designing sites hosted on leading DXP/CMS systems
- Experience with designing and developing sites for Drupal 10, Drupal multisite and Acquia Site Studio is highly desirable
- Knowledge and experience in using VWO Personalization is highly desirable
- Extensive experience in the design of experiments and the use of data-driven approaches to evaluate the results and effectiveness of tailoring and personalization campaigns
- Strong analytical and data analysis skills and the ability to effectively interpret and translate raw data into meaningful results and understanding
- Solid understanding of Google Analytics and the ability to conduct in-depth analysis and reporting of web traffic data to evaluate current web experiences and identify optimal future content adaptation strategies
- Solid understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) activities and analyzing search data for context and search intent of visitors to web sites
- Superior oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including excellent active listening skills
- Excellent presentation and reporting skills and experience in presenting to management and executive audience
- Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
- Experience working in an agile mode of operations
- Experience managing work in Microsoft Azure DevOps
- Higher education or public sector experience is highly desirable
