After the transaction closes, this position will be aligned to the new Payroll & Professional Services owned by HIG Capital (‘Divested Group’).   • By keeping in touch with the overall company objectives, with the guidance of the Practice Area Lead ensure that the Functional Area is operating to meet those objectives in terms of revenue and growth
  • Working closely with the Practice Area Lead to identify hiring needs not just in terms of headcount but also skillset level and location, keeping costs in mind
  • Monitors utilisation within the Functional Area and reports to the Practice Area Lead providing suggestions on necessary action
  • Keeps abreast of the project pipeline and makes informed decisions with regards to hiring and consultant capability needs within the Functional Area

METHODOLOGY

  • Actively promote best practice methodology, acting as a change champion for a global approach
  • Collaborates with the equivalent Functional Leads in NA and APAC to ensure global ways of working
  • Identify and act upon areas for improvement to ensure projects are delivered effectively, with excellence and are profitable
  • Ensures consistency in methodology and toolkits are maintained within the Functional Area and with other Functional Leads
  • Understand the broader CDS services; AMS, Change Management, Testing Services, Business Readiness and so forth, and how they influence and help shape the methodology
  • Assess new Workday functionality and what should be incorporated in to Alight’s Point of View
  • Follow up on Lessons Identified from Projects specific to the Functional Area

WORKDAY

  • Is the Workday Partner Product Lead for their specialist area (where a corresponding Workday Product Lead role exists)
  • Stays abreast of the Workday Roadmap and can assess future changes and the impact on both delivery and Sales
  • Owns the knowledge transfer and impact assessment as a result of each Workday release and service updates impacting the functional area
  • Remains active in the Workday Community and promotes the use of Community to others
  • Maintain a deep understanding of touchpoints with other functional areas

PROJECT RESOURCING

  • Proactively ensures that the Functional Area is fully utilised
  • Inputs in to the staffing of resources on projects, ensuring that the Global Delivery Model is adhered to
  • Identify opportunities for colleagues based on their career aspirations
  • Liaison with the US and APAC as needed to resource projects

RECRUITMENT

  • Identifies hiring needs and discusses opportunities with the Practice Area Lead
  • Conducts the initial telephone interview for potential candidates in to the Functional Area and provides a recommendation on whether to proceed to the next stage
  • Onboarding of new starters/transfers in to the Functional Area, typically acts as the buddy

PEOPLE

  • Responsible for the welfare and career development of functional consultants within your practice area
  • People Management of a team of 3-5
  • Together with your direct reports working on a development plan to help them progress in their careers
  • Active participation in the Line Manager Club
  • Monthly 1:1s
  • Manage any performance or behavioural issues
  • Conduct performance and compensation reviews
  • Input in to the Practice Area talent reviews, giving feedback on consultants within your Functional Area
  • Input in to the Probation decision for consultants within your Functional Area
  • Acts as a mentor to consultants who are new to the functional Area
  • Provides advice and guidance within the functional area to help develop expertise for all consultants of all abilities

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT

  • Identify training needs within the Functional Area and work with the Practice Area Lead to help shape any specific requirements
  • Ensure that relevant training is delivered and attended within the Functional Area

SALES

  • Provides advice and guidance to Solution Architects for the Functional Area
  • Bi-annual meeting with Solution Architects to review the Statement of Work following a Workday release
  • Inputs in to the estimator to ensure it is fit for purpose and reflects the methodology and approach, taking in to consideration the global delivery model and delivering quality, cost effective projects
  • Inputs in to prospect RFPs and attends prospect meetings as needed for the Practice Area

BAU

  • Ensure all Functional Area members are equipped to deliver operationally
  • Leads bi-weekly Functional Area meetings
  • Manages bench tasks within the Functional Area
  • Attends and contributes to bi-weekly Practice Area team meetings
  • Provides advice and guidance to help develop expertise for all consultants of all abilities
