The team is based in Woking with some travel across Surrey.This is a 12-month fixed-term contract or secondment opportunity.Rewards and Benefits

This shared ethos has contributed to a strong partnership model across the local authority, allowing Surrey Youth Justice Service (YJS) to develop systems of support and enhance good practice.YJS is a high-performing, multi-agency partnership providing services before and after court to meet the statutory requirements of the youth justice system. Part of the Safeguarding Adolescents portfolio, YJS is committed to preventing offending and reducing reoffending by children. We collaborate with various agencies to offer appropriate interventions, address risks, meet needs, and build on strengths. Additionally, we aim to repair harm caused to victims and communities by addressing the root causes of offending.We are inviting applications from individuals with a strong administrative background to join our team for a maternity cover position. This role is crucial to supporting managers and staff within the Youth Offending Service. Based within the Central Youth Justice Team, you will support managers, Youth Justice Practitioners, and volunteers across all service areas.This is a highly varied and impactful role where you can expect to be involved in the following:
- Administrative and IT Support: Provide specialist IT and administrative support, including accurate record-keeping and information collation. Assist staff with Youth Justice case management and systems, and manage the central phone line and email address
- Meeting and Panel Coordination: Support the coordination of Joint Decision-Making Panel arrangements and other Youth Justice meetings, liaising with staff and community panel members and providing minute taking support
- Learning and Development: Provide administrative support for Youth Justice learning and development, including team meetings
- General Support: Support other Youth Justice functions as required, such as time administration, procurement card holding and providing cover for the Court Liaison & Information Officer role as needed

- Good literacy, numeracy and IT Skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build sound relationships with customers
- Good administrative, organisational and analytical skills with ability to prioritise and plan own workload
- A methodical approach to information gathering, recording and reporting
- Ability to work accurately under pressure
